Storytime

Edwin loves when we read to him, and we love it too! He gets so excited by all the pictures and "reads" along with us in his most excited (and loud) voice. It's hilarious! Olivia is one of our favourites (her cat's name is Edwin!) as well as Hockey Numbers (hey, we're Canadian), The Giving Tree, How Do I Love You and a handful of others.

Do you have any favourite books for babies? I have a list of some of my faves from when I was a kid that I'd like to get for Eddie. I'd love to hear your recommendations though!

Have a great day :)
xx Bess

  1. Winnie the Pooh and Paddington Bear!! The best children's books ever written! Somebody tried to convince me the other day that no child has ever liked both, but I still have copies of both and have lost count of how many times I've read them :D Rhi :)

  2. Good night, Moon was a favorite for my little E was he was younger. The mixture of black & white and color illustrations is good for young little ones. And when he started talking, he starting saying the words, that he had heard countless times before! :) Another is Good Night, Gorilla; The Little Gorilla (was a favorite because of the happy birthday singing! Became the theme for his 2nd birthday); Alligator Pie, and Five Little Monkeys are both fun ones, that he now says off by heart as we read. I recently bought one that was funny called Mad at Mommy by Komako Sakai - I loved the story and the illustrations are beautiful. I tend to buy based on the quality and beauty of the illustrations :) The Snowy Day is another favorite in the winter! Have fun reading with Edwin!

  3. Our favorites were Madeline, and Pajama Time by Sandra Boynton. By the time my oldest was a year, I could recite both from memory. In fact, even now, if we happen to be out late, they'll ask me to "read" those on the way home. :)
