Canadiana: Faux Fauna

I had a great time at Puces Pop over the weekend, I even got to meet a few blog readers! I'm always so amazed that people are actually reading ;)

Puces Pop is a great place to scout new Canadiana Tuesday talent. Since I couldn't abandon my table for too long to check out all the booths at the show, I focused on those around me, and I didn't have to look too far. Across the room from me on the opposite wall was Felt Factory and their Faux Fauna line. Think taxidermy made from felt - genius, I know!

The artist behind the Faux Fauna creations, Sabine Alpers, came to Canada from Germany in 2003 and currently lives in Montreal. During the winter months, Sabine felts her cute and friendly taxidermy pieces and in the summer tends to her farm. All the wool she uses to make her creations comes from last season's wool harvest on the farm. Animal friendly wool taxidermy is definitely something I could get into!

Have a great Tuesday!
