May Goals

English Muffin is almost 6 months old! And, like any proud parent, it's time for me to assess this thing I've created, its successes, its failures, and take a hard look at its future! (I'm not really sure if this is what parents do, but I figure it's along these lines).

With this in mind, I think there's no better time than today to join Modish Biz Tips' Monthly Goal Meetup. At the beginning of the month I'm going to post a list of my business related goals to the blog, and at the end of the month you can check back to see how many have been crossed off (now there's a little bit of pressure!). I think it's going to be good, especially because independent-online-business-land can sometimes get lonely, and more than once my mouse has magically navigated me away from my work and onto the people.com website. Focus Bess, focus!

So, without further ado, here are my goals for the month of May:

• add new designs to both my 123Printables and Prints sections of my Etsy shop
• develop a custom order for name designs listing on Etsy
  
• more twittering, blogging and re-listing (Etsy) - keep up my internet presence
• reach 100 sales on Etsy by May 31 (I'm currently at 94)
• improve packaging design, ie, pretty labels/stickers, personalized notes on English Muffin stationary
  
• design and print business cards
• submit my designs to my favourite kids blogs
• make contact (via newsletter) with customers who signed-up to the mailing list
  

It's looking a little daunting, but I'm game if you are. Keep the pressure on, and good luck with your own goals this month.
