English Muffin

I had lots of fun celebrating my birthday this weekend, we wined and dined and dessert-ed too, my favourite ways to celebrate.

We tried a new (to us) Japanese restaurant called Kuishimbo. The food can best be described as "just like my (Japanese) mom used to make"! It was so delicious. Here's a pic of our appetizers arriving.

The restaurant is really small, so I would recommend making reservations.

After a wonderful meal at Kuishimbo, we stopped in at a gelato shop and had pistachio ice cream and birthday tiramisu. We finished our evening at the Red Room with some exotic, although possibly non-alcholic (??), strawberry daquaris.
